This game adopts a top-down turn-based mechanism. 

Players control the plant faction, expanding their territory by absorbing nutrients from different tiles, each with unique effects. Based on the tiles occupied in the previous turn, players have a corresponding amount of nutrients (the player's core resource) in the next turn. During each turn, players can allocate nutrients to the tiles they currently own. When the next turn arrives, the tiles with allocated nutrients will automatically occupy the surrounding untaken tiles. Players may be granted a certain minimum amount of nutrients as needed.

Players control the plant faction and engage in battles against the city faction controlled by the program. The city expands its territory every 3 turns. In case of a conflict over the same tile between player and computer-controlled cities, priority is given to the player. When the specified countdown ends, if the player controls more tiles than the computer-controlled city, the player wins; otherwise, they lose.

Player operations are as follows: At the start of the player's turn, based on the tiles occupied in the previous turn, the player is given a corresponding amount of oxygen points for the current turn (one point in the first turn). During the turn, players can strategically choose which tile to allocate oxygen to, following these rules: oxygen can only be allocated to already occupied tiles, only to tiles with surrounding untaken tiles, and excess oxygen can be reserved for the next turn. After completing their actions, players need to click the end turn button to conclude the current turn. After the turn ends, the program evaluates the conditions for city expansion and triggered events, provides feedback, and proceeds to the next turn.
